Clean Marine Group will collect and process all kinds of liquid waste emitted by ships, including black water, grey water, ballast water, oily water and sludge, thus allowing ships that use our services to comply with MARPOL regulations.

Our Hydrocarbon Recovery Plant and tank farm will have the capacity to process 120,000 tons of oily waste per annum.

Clean Marine Group has secured the Grand Bahama Port Authority License to operate the first Caribbean MARPOL port reception Facility, based in Freeport Harbour, Grand Bahama. Our facility will service the whole of the Wider Caribbean, and at 100ft, Freeport is the deepest Harbour on the Eastern Seaboard and capable of docking Post-Panamax III ships and VLCCs.

A GREEN FACILITY

MARPOL is the main international maritime convention covering prevention of pollution of the marine environment by ships, including air emissions, from operational or accidental causes, and is an International Maritime Organization (IMO) convention that deals with protection of our environment.

Clean Marine Group’s MARPOL Port Reception Facility in Freeport, Grand Bahama, will collect and process all kinds of liquid waste emitted by ships, including black water, grey water, ballast water, oily water and sludge, allowing ships in transit via the Caribbean to comply with MARPOL regulations.

Our Plant will have emissions below the world’s most stringent environmental levels, with 97% of the oil recovered being recycled and 100% of the wastewater being recovered to a potable state.
